Strategic blueprints that align learning objectives with measurable performance outcomes.
Client: Woodland ECC
Summary: This project addressed a critical need for church-based preschool teachers to shift from static worksheets to developmentally appropriate, play-based learning. Given the target audience’s varying levels of formal education training, the Instructional Design Document was essential for translating complex pedagogical standards into a simplified, three-component instructional framework. The IDD acted as the master blueprint, outlining the transition from modeling (demonstration) to guided practice (application) as dictated by Merrill’s Principles. By meticulously planning the "Worksheet Transformation" scenarios within the design document, I was able to validate the instructional flow and feedback loops with the school director prior to moving into the rapid prototyping phase.
Client: Corporate Engineering Lead
Summary: Developed to bridge the professional "soft skills" gap for new graduates entering a technical corporate environment, this project focused on high-stakes communication with project stakeholders. To ensure the micro-learning remained targeted and efficient, I utilized the Instructional Design Document (IDD) to map specific behavioral triggers to interactive outcomes. The IDD served as the strategic anchor for the project, allowing me to align Cathy Moore’s Action Mapping with Merrill’s First Principles. By documenting the "Four Pillars of Communication" and their corresponding assessment criteria in the blueprint phase, I was able to ensure that every custom interaction—including the Tone Slider and Email Builder—directly supported a measurable performance goal before development began.
