A Strategic Media Approach for the Teacher Onboarding eLearning Course
To support the transition from worksheet-based teaching to play-based learning, I developed a multi-layered media strategy. This page highlights how I utilized different video modalities including AI-driven character simulations and technical screen recordings, to model behavior and demonstrate digital workflows within a single instructional program.
Tool: We Are Learning (Embedded AI)
Skill: Behavioral Modeling, Rapid Prototyping, Prompt Engineering, Scenario-Based Learning, Scriptwriting and Storyboarding, Multimedia Integration
I developed four distinct character-driven videos to serve as the "Demonstration" phase of Merrill’s Principles. These videos allow preschool teachers to observe realistic classroom interactions that model the "Worksheet Transformation" framework. By leveraging We Are Learning, I was able to rapidly prototype these social scenarios with diverse avatars and custom-scripted dialogue, providing a high-fidelity visual for "what right looks like" without the logistical hurdles of a live film shoot.
Tool: Zoom, Camtasia, Storyline
Skill: Screen Recording and Video Editing
While the character simulations focus on "Soft Skills" and pedagogy, this screen recording serves a more technical purpose. I developed this walkthrough to guide educators through the digital tools required to navigate and use the Florida Preschool Standards. By utilizing the Signaling Principle, I used callouts and zooms to ensure the technical steps were impossible to miss, providing a permanent performance support resource for the teaching staff.
