Bridging the gap between conceptual design and technical development through detailed narrative mapping.
Because this project relied heavily on scenario-based learning and character-driven dialogue, a comprehensive Visual Storyboard was essential for organizing the narrative flow. This document mapped every screen, animation timing, and layered video interaction, ensuring a logical progression from instructional modeling to independent application. The storyboard allowed me to apply Mayer’s Multimedia Principles—specifically the Segmenting and Signaling principles—by planning visual cues and controlled navigation at the script level. By fully documenting the learner journey before moving into rapid prototyping, I was able to validate the instructional coherence with the school director and ensure the "Worksheet Transformation" scenarios were both realistic and effective.
To ensure a seamless development process for this micro-learning module, I utilized a high-fidelity Text-Based Storyboard to map out the instructional narrative and complex branching logic. This phase was critical for refining the "voice" of the AI-generated narrator and ensuring the professional tone remained consistent throughout the course. The storyboard served as a technical blueprint, detailing the specific triggers, variables, and states required to build custom interactions like the Tone Slider and Email Construction simulation. By finalizing the script and interaction logic in the storyboarding phase, I was able to streamline the production timeline in Articulate Storyline and ensure that the learning objectives remained the primary focus during development.
